Tim Strangleman

This paper examines questions of power and politics in the visual research of organisations. Based on research carried out carried out during 2004 and 2005 in the former Guinness brewery at Park Royal in West London, the original project sought to combine contemporary and archive photography with oral histories of workers on the point of being made redundant.

The paper reflects on how a critical social science is possible when negotiating corporate structures.
